Welcome to the August 2025 Newsletter From The Vines

In August, we celebrate the beauty of language

Language is the soul of a nation; a part of one’s identity, and it binds people together.

It’s a tool to express our feelings and thoughts, and there’s nothing more precious than speaking in your own native tongue and communicating with people who share the same language.

What were we up to at the Vines in July?

Our four-year-olds in the Karepe Room were busy building, creating and learning together through our current topic: Little Builders, Big Learners. It’s exciting to see what our tamariki come up with when they’re given the tools, space and encouragement to explore. One of the best things about this project is how it brings tamariki together. Read more about their explorations.
The last few weeks were packed with other memorable moments:  Festa Junina, Teddy Bears’ Picnic, PJ’s Day, and Red Nose Day.

I hope you enjoy the gallery of photos of our tamariki (and some of their whanau) in action.
