What a wonderful evening
Thank you to all our families who came to celebrate Matariki
Matariki is a special moment when whānau gather, kai is shared, and intentions are set for the year to come. This year, our tamariki, kaiako and our our whānau at The Vines Early Childhood Centre embraced the spirit of Matariki by coming together with to celebrate the new year.
It was a time to share:
- learning
- express gratitude
- and dream about what lies ahead.
Winter is with us
Now that the weather is colder, we would like to encourage you to send an extra set of clothing, a warm jacket and even gumboots so your children can have some outdoor time.
Overall well-being is so important, especially in winter. So, just a quick reminder of our Child Illness Policy.
If your child is unwell they may be at risk of infecting other children, teachers, and adults. Therefore, we ask that you keep your child home until they are well and advise us of your child’s illness.
Playball at our Henderson daycare
Playball is a programme for 3 to 5-year-olds to learn ball skills through fun games.
- All programmes have a “multi-activity” approach, and Term 3 Registration for Playball is now open.

We specialise in capturing life
Little Images are coming into The Vines on the 21st and 22nd of July for individual and sibling photos. Please check out the posters for their package deals. You can choose the photographer and package that’s right for you.
The best part of working with a Little Images childcare photographer is that photo day runs smoothly, orders are processed within 24 hours, and are delivered the following week.

Free Pre-Loved Clothing Event (bring a can if you can!)
Free pre-loved clothing! Bring a can of kai (only if you can) in exchange for a bag of free clothing, linen and more! We will gift the canned kai to those in need. Allow time to park and walk. This is an indoor event. Thanks to Waiōrea CRC and Tipping Point for providing the pre-loved clothing. Please BYO bag.
