Every Wednesday, The Vines is buzzing with more laughter and excitement than usual as we welcome in the JitterBubs team for special activities designed just for little ones.

What is JitterBubs?

The JitterBubs movement and dance programme is not your ordinary dance class. Created by Camila Leal Rossi, a talented performer with a passion for working with children, this programme is all about fostering creativity, confidence, and coordination. Designed for preschoolers aged 2 to 5 years old, JitterBubs nurtures our tamarikis’ love for movement and creativity.

Discover, Develop, Dance

Young children learn holistically. That’s why the JitterBubs’ motto is “Discover, Develop, Dance”. Through a combination of songs, games, and exercises, your child will explore their body through movement. The programme promotes physical development while helping tamariki build essential skills such as balance, rhythm, coordination, listening, confidence, and creativity. JitterBubs is a whole-body experience that nurtures both physical and mental growth.

Learning in their own groove

Every child is unique, and learning should be a fun. That’s why we encourage students to participate and learn at their own pace. Through a curriculum tailored specifically to your child’s Vines group, your little ones will find their own rhythm, quite literally.

Aligned with Te Whāriki

The JitterBubs programme is designed to work alongside the principles and strands of the NZ Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whāriki. So, while your child is getting down and having a blast dancing and jiggling, they are also learning in a way that aligns with the educational framework of New Zealand.

Meet Camila Leal Rossi

Camila Leal Rossi is the creative force behind JitterBubs. A graduate of the National Academy of Singing and Dramatic Arts (NASDA), Camila began training in classical ballet at the age of five. Over time, she expanded her skills to include jazz, Latin dancing, and musical theatre.

Combining her performing arts skills and her love for working with children, Camila founded JitterBubs in 2017. Today, she and her team bring the joy of dance and movement to toddlers and preschoolers aged two to five years old in early childhood centres all across Auckland. Camila is thrilled to share her passion with your children at The Vines Early Learning Centre.
