MATARIKI – Honouring The Past, Celebrating the Future
Please join us to celebrate Matariki on Thursday 19th June from 5.30 pm to 6.45 pm
Each room will have an activity to do with your child.
This is a great opportunity for you to meet other parents.
We will provide food and refreshments
Please note: This is an out-of-centre hours event so all children will need to be accompanied by their caregivers.
Matariki is a time to reflect on the past year, honour ancestors, and set intentions for the year ahead. It is an opportunity to strengthen the connection to the land, sea, and sky and to renew relationships with others.
Bugs ….
Kia Ora whanau, the Pihi rooms’ new focus is Nature. We are going to start with bugs!
Our tamariki love going on bug hunts around the playground and were inspired by one of our tamariki identifying possible houses for bugs.
